About our Partnerships

As a result of a partnership between Canadian Public Community Colleges, Husson University and the University of Fredericton, students holding a diploma from a Canadian Public Community College can now take advantage of a career enhancing opportunity to transfer their diploma credits and apply them toward a Bachelor Degree from Husson University.

Online Diploma-to-Degree Program in Criminal Justice

Students who have graduated from any Canadian Public Community College may now apply to enroll in a Diploma-to-Degree program, completely online. Husson University in Maine has developed - in cooperation with Canadian Public Community Colleges and the University of Fredericton - an online Diploma-to-Degree program for Criminal Justice graduates. Students may transfer their credits to Husson University and be able to complete a four-year Bachelor Degree in Criminal Justice.

Students will be able to complete the program from their homes, offices or any other location with access to the Internet, by taking as few as 10 eight-week courses. As the online courses are delivered through the University of Fredericton, graduates of the program will also receive a Certificate in Advanced Studies from the University of Fredericton.

The National Partnership for Careers in Law, Public Safety, Corrections and Security has named Husson University as a Regional Center for Criminal Justice in New England.

Tuition may be paid course-at-a-time, in Canadian funds, payable to the University of Fredericton. Each course is 3 credit hours and the cost per credit hour is $473, resulting in the tuition fee of $1,419 for each three credit hour course.

Timeline Each course is eight weeks in duration and will require 10 - 12 hours of coursework per week. Courses begin January, March, June, August, and October. When college credit transfers have been applied, students awarded the maximum credit transference can obtain their degree by completing 10 online courses, in as quickly as one year.
