Discover practical ways to fund your studies
Education is a valuable investment in your future and a powerful way to advance your career: on average, Canadian university graduates see a 66% salary increase in the years following graduation. To help you achieve similar results, if you're wondering how to finance your studies while balancing family responsibilities and professional growth, there are several options available in Canada — from student loans to employer reimbursement and more. By exploring and understanding these funding options, you can make informed decisions tailored to your unique circumstances. Throughout this journey, you'll receive full support every step of the way.
Government Student Loans
Provincial Student Loans are typically available to Canadian students enrolled in an accredited university or college. The amount of financial assistance you receive will depend on factors like your province of residence, the cost of attendance, and whether you’re a full-time or part-time student. With smart planning and budgeting, education can be a manageable and rewarding investment for working professionals.
The following programs qualify for funding in all provinces and territories (excluding Quebec and British Columbia):
Master of Business Administration
Executive Master of Business Administration
Associate Degree in Occupational Health and Safety
Certificate in Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental Systems
If your program does not appear on this list, please reach out to our Program Advisors for program specific information. Programs may still qualify for funding in your province.
The student loan process, simplified
Student loan processing can take time, so we recommend submitting your completed student loan application as early as possible, ideally 3 months before your program's start date. To help ensure a smooth process, you'll be connected with an Academic Support Coordinator, who will gladly assist you along the way. Details on how to apply within your province can also be found on the Government of Canada website.
Step 1: Start your application
Familiarize yourself with your provincial/ territorial loan process and start your application online.
Step 2: Fill out student loan application
Ensure your student loan application is completed correctly. If you need help, provincial student aid offices can support you through this process.
Step 3: Submit your student loan application
Submit your application through your provincial/territorial portal. Upload or send completed forms to the provincial portal if applicable.
Step 4: Connect for support
After being accepted to your program, you'll be connected with an Academic Support Coordinator. They can assist with any paperwork generated after you've submitted your student loan application.
