How to apply for transfer credits
If you’ve studied before or want to transfer, it only takes a few simple steps to find out if your previous academic experience is eligible for transfer credits.

Step 1 – Find a UFred degree that aligns with your ambitions and prepare to submit your application.
Step 2 – Talk to one of our Program Advisors about your personal circumstances and qualifications.
Step 3 – Think you meet the criteria? Go ahead and submit your application. In submitting your application, you'll have the opportunity to request transfer credits for applicable courses.

Step 4 - Please submit the following documents through the secure and unique application link you received upon submission of our application form:
Transcripts (unofficial copies are accepted for the initial review; official copies will be required before exemptions are granted)
Course syllabi or detailed course descriptions
There is no fee for this assessment, and you can expect your results, along with your admission notification, within 3 weeks of submitting all required documents.
What is an academic pathway?
Academic pathways are established when two institutions set up a formal articulation agreement between programs. This agreement includes a review process of the curriculum of both programs, to ensure alignment and maximize transfer credit.
With an academic pathway, you're ensured that your prior learning at an instittution will be recognized as credit toward the program you're transfering to.

Current pathway options
Columbia Southern University (CSU): UFred graduates may transfer their credits and certificate hours to CSU and continue working towards a bachelor's degree in a variety of degree fields.
Lambton College: Graduates of some Lambton programs who hold a bachelor's degree will be considered academically qualified to apply to UFred's MBA program.
Manitoba Institute of Trades and Technology: Eligible MITT students may transfer existing credits into UFred’s BBA program, helping them fast-track their degree and save time, money, and effort along the way.
Conestoga College: Eligible Conestoga College graduates may receive advanced standing towards MBA 5045 Strategic Human Resources Planning.
