Certificate in Ergonomics & Certificate in Applied Ergonomics

Help build healthier work environments

As an ergonomics student at UFred, you’ll gain the essential skills needed to design safer, more efficient workspaces that prioritize employee health and well-being. Our program focuses on equipping you with the expertise to identify and address workplace hazards, prevent injuries, and reduce the risks associated with prolonged working hours in poorly designed environments.

Through practical learning, you’ll develop the ability to analyze workstation layouts, assess ergonomic risks, and recommend improvements that align with best practices and industry standards. You'll also learn how to consult organizations and employees on optimizing work environment designs to improve productivity and overall workplace satisfaction.

Whether you’re advancing your career in occupational health and safety or branching into a new field, the Ergonomics Certificate will prepare you to make a meaningful impact on workplace design and employee well-being. You'll have the option to earn either a Certificate of Ergonomics or Applied Certificate of Ergonomics.
