Xavier Kleinermann approached his MBA with intention from the very beginning. His days followed a clear structure. His time was used wisely. Early mornings became space to study before work, while evenings and weekends were planned carefully. For Xavier, growth was never something left to chance. It was something he purposefully built into his life.

A deliberate choice
Xavier wasn’t looking to go back to school for the sake of it. He wanted something practical that would translate directly into his work and support his long-term growth.
“I was looking at what’s the best degree for the money, but also something that would help my knowledge grow in my career and give me tools I could actually use.”
The MBA in Innovation Leadership at the University of Fredericton offered that balance. It brought together his past experience and gave him a way to build on it with purpose.
“It allowed me to take everything I had learned before and put it together in one place, then build from there.”
Growth you can see
During the course of his MBA, Xavier received three promotions.
“I think the company invested, saw the return, and I hope I can keep giving back. I was bringing new tools and new ways of thinking into my work, and they could see the difference.”
The impact of what he was learning showed up quickly.
“There was a direct return on investment. What I was learning, I was applying right away.”
Life in motion
Not long after Xavier began his MBA, his first child was born.
There is a moment he still remembers clearly. He was at the hospital with his wife, waiting for their son to arrive. It was early evening. There was time before the delivery. So he logged into his accounting class. Life did not pause while he studied. It unfolded alongside it.
By the time he completed his degree, his family had grown again. His twins were born just ten days after finishing the program.
Between those two moments, Xavier learned so much. But none of it happened in isolation.
There was a direct return on investment. What I was learning, I was applying right away.
A shared commitment
From the beginning, Xavier understood that this would not be something he could do alone.
“My wife has been amazing. I couldn’t have done it without her. From the start, I told her this was going to be teamwork. I wouldn’t be able to go through it without her support.”
That mindset shaped the entire experience. The time, the effort and the sacrifice were shared. “It’s not just your achievement. It’s something you build together.”
His study routine
Xavier woke up early to study while his mind was fresh. Then he moved into his workday. In the evenings, he returned to his coursework when needed. Weekends were planned carefully, with time set aside for both school and family.
“Your day is so limited and you have so much to do. It really forces you to focus, to plan better and to be intentional with your time. Life doesn’t stop, so you have to decide how you use the time you have.”
That discipline helped him change how he worked and how he approached everything in front of him.
There was a before and after UFred. My life changed completely, for the better. It was one of the biggest turning points for me.
Connections that last
Alongside the work, there were relationships that formed in unexpected ways.
“We had a group chat from early on, and we stayed connected the whole way through. We met a few times during the program, and we’re still in touch now. We’re even planning to get together again.”
Those relationships became part of Xavier’s growth.
A shared success
Looking back, Xavier sees a clear shift. “There was a before and after UFred. My life changed completely, for the better. It was one of the biggest turning points for me.”
The program gave him more than knowledge. “It gave me self-confidence, better time management and a way to set myself up for success moving forward.”
But the impact doesn’t stop with him. It extends into the life he is building with his loved ones. “In the end, if you succeed, the fruits are for everyone in the family.”
The effort was shared from the beginning, and what came from it is something they will carry forward together.
