Applying to UFred

Applying to become a UFred student is easy and straightforward. Follow the simple instructions on our How to Apply page to begin your journey. Our helpful Program Advisors are here to support you along the way. You're encouraged to apply.

No, you do not need a GMAT to apply for our graduate programs. We evaluate applicants based on professional experience, academic background and career potential. You’re encouraged to apply! Our helpful Program Advisors are happy to assist you.

If you’ve completed courses at another institution, you may be eligible to receive transfer credits toward your UFred program. Submit your transcripts and course descriptions with your application, and our Admissions team will review them. You can expect a decision within one week of submitting all required documents. Our Program Advisors are also available to guide you through the process.

Once you've submitted your online application and uploaded any required documents (e.g., transcripts, resume), our Admissions team will review your materials. We typically email admission decisions within two weeks of receiving a complete application.

There are a variety of funding options available to help you finance your studies. Find a list of the most commonly accessed options below.

• Government student loans: Provincial loans are available for eligible programs.

• Employer reimbursement: Many students fund their studies with support from their employers.

• Scholarships: Students can also explore external scholarship opportunities through national databases such as ScholarshipsCanada.com, StudentAwards.com, or the Government of Canada's education funding resources.

• Other routes: Personal loans, lines of credit, lifelong-learning plans (LLP), and more — depending on your personal situation.
