Intermediate Financial Reporting I

This course focuses on the advanced application of an integrated analytical framework for the preparation, interpretation, and evaluation of financial statements. Emphasis is placed on the selection and application of accounting policies, the conceptual and regulatory criteria underlying those choices, and the comparative analysis of financial statements prepared under alternative accounting standards. Students will examine, in depth, the implications of accounting principles and measurement bases for income determination and for the recognition, measurement, and valuation of assets, liabilities, and shareholders’ equity.
