https://ufred.ca/courses/it-2010/
Course description
In this course, students explore the management of IT and software projects, focusing on how structure, communication, and leadership shape project outcomes. Using common software lifecycle models, such as the Rational Unified Process (RUP) and Agile methods, as case studies, students learn core project management concepts, including project scoping and work breakdown structures, scheduling and estimation, risk and change management, and stakeholder communication. Standard project management terminology and frameworks, like Project Management Body of Knowledge concepts, are introduced and then applied to software project contexts. By the end of the course, students will be able to interpret and participate in IT projects using both project management and software process language.
