The University of Fredericton is pleased to welcome Dr. Tina Singh as Program Chair, Marketing.
Dr. Tina Singh will lead the university’s new Master of Digital Marketing, the first and only 100% online program of its kind. The program builds on UFred’s established strength in online business education while responding to the changing needs of the marketing profession.
“It’s a unique program that reflects where the industry is headed, and there are very few universities offering a master’s degree with such a specialized focus,” says Dr. Singh. “I saw an opportunity to contribute to a growing program while helping shape the next generation of marketing professionals.”
As Program Chair, Marketing, Dr. Singh will oversee curriculum alignment and work closely with subject matter experts to design and continuously improve marketing courses. Her role includes supporting faculty and contributing to course development, as well as ensuring the program remains current and meets the accreditation standards established by the Maritime Provinces Higher Education Commission.
Dr. Michael Hobeck, Provost & Vice President, Academics at the University of Fredericton, says Dr. Singh brings the expertise needed to support UFred’s latest graduate-level learning experience.
“Dr. Singh’s background in marketing, research and academic program leadership makes her exceptionally well suited to lead this program,” says Dr. Hobeck. “Her experience will help ensure the Master of Digital Marketing remains academically rigorous, industry relevant and focused on preparing students for the realities of modern marketing.”
University of Fredericton President Trevor Pothier says the appointment reflects an important step in UFred’s continued program growth.
“With the appointment of Dr. Singh and the launch of the Master of Digital Marketing, we are creating a new life-changing education journey for people who want to lead in one of the most dynamic areas of business: digital marketing,” says Pothier.
Dr. Singh’s holds a PhD in Marketing. Her academic expertise is in business and commerce, with a specialization in marketing and a particular focus on retail marketing. Her doctoral research explored consumer behaviour and factors influencing purchasing decisions.
She currently has 11 international research publications and one patent. Her work has been published in Canada, the United States, India and Thailand, reflecting its global relevance. During her doctoral studies, she was also recognized for outstanding research contributions in the field of marketing.
Before joining the University of Fredericton, Dr. Singh held various academic roles, including Director of Business Programs at Oulton College. In that position, she oversaw multiple academic programs, faculty, curriculum development and student success initiatives.
“Now, as Program Chair at the University of Fredericton, I’m able to bring together my experience in teaching, research, academic leadership and program development in a role that aligns perfectly with both my expertise and my passion,” says Dr. Singh.
