Supporting the next generation of sales leaders
Are you looking to take your career in sales to the next level? The University of Fredericton (UFred) is thrilled to announce the 2025 Canadian Professional Sales Association (CPSA) Scholarship, an exclusive opportunity for MBA and EMBA students enrolled in our Professional Selling and Leadership (PSL) specialty stream.
This one-time scholarship, made possible by the CPSA Foundation, follows their recent decision to conclude operations after 150 years of advancing sales professionals nationwide. As a CPSA-accredited institution, UFred has received funding to help driven professionals like you achieve their educational and career goals.
Scholarship details
The CPSA scholarship recognizes academic achievement and professional dedication in the field of sales. Seven recipients will each receive a scholarship valued at $1,021.43 CAD, which will be applied as a tuition credit toward their upcoming MBA or EMBA course.
Eligibility
To qualify for the CPSA Scholarship, applicants must:
Be in good academic standing and currently enrolled in UFred’s Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) or Master of Business Administration (MBA) programs.
Be actively pursuing the Professional Selling and Leadership (PSL) specialty stream, as indicated in their signed Honour Code and Enrolment Agreement.
Have not yet commenced or completed their final Capstone course within the MBA/EMBA program.
Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5.
Application process
Eligible students must submit the following by April 30, 2025, at 3:30 p.m. ET:
Complete the CPSA Scholarship Application Form
Provide two letters of recommendation from academic or professional references. Forward the CPSA Scholarship Letter of Reference Form to your references for completion.
Upload an updated resume as part of the application process.
Submit a short video introduction detailing your background, career goals, reasons for pursuing a career in sales, and how this scholarship will support your journey. UFred will provide instructions for recording your video pitch upon submission of other materials.
Selection process
Recipients will be chosen based on their academic performance and the strength of their application.
Successful applicants will be notified via email. Those who are not selected will also receive notification regarding the outcome of their application once the selection process concludes.
Applications will be reviewed by a selection committee consisting of:
Dean of Academics (or designate)
Registrar (or designate)
Academic Chair (or designate)
Manager of Program Development (or designate)
Scholarship conditions, distribution and disbursement
Scholarship recipients must use the award by Dec. 31, 2025.
The scholarship will be applied as a tuition credit towards an upcoming MBA or EMBA course.
Recipients will be responsible for any remaining tuition fees not covered by the scholarship.
